My project is about creating a cartoon of linear and quadratic functions. This is like Birth Rate. Birth Rate is when a new baby is born in the city. So I'm going to create a cartoon (birth) and then make another one. Then I'm going to create a conversation between the two cartoons. So for the social studies PBL I'm going to think about the Birth Rate. I think this is going to be easy because i learned Birth Rate in social studies and it was pretty easy. So for this I'm going to combine the cartoon to the Birth Rate. Also I am going to explain this in a graph of linear equations, the graph will have in the y-axis the number of babies being born each year. In the x-axis the number of people in Africa. Then I'm going to graph the number of people giving birth each year in Africa. Then calculate the percentage of the over all of births each year in Africa. Also find the percentage of people that didn't give birth at all the past year. Then find the difference of the people who gave birth and the ones that didn't give birth at all in Africa. After that is done I will make the graph colorful and neat, so it wont look boring to people that want to read the graph. Some of the graphs that teachers or other adults give you, you might think in your mind that it will be boring reading a graph that doesn't look interesting to you, because it isn't colorful. In my opinion graphs that don't have colorful things in it are boring for me to read, because it is boring reading a graph that is one color like black and white. All the graphs that I have read so far for my teachers are black and white, and when I see them I know that the graph will be boring to use. So that's why I want my graph to be colorful, so that people will want to read my graph and will get exited too.
